TOURING TAIL

Designed to suit all skins, with a customizable large ABS plastic tail. There is a small kick in the tail to reduce drag from you skin-clip while touring.

Camber underfoot

A traditional cambered design gives you stability and versatility on any condition. On hardpack a camber design is unmatched.

Touring tip

With a thinner and lighter wood core than our traditions skis its designed for long days touring. The shape of the tip will also help reduce drag when skinning up.

POPLAR AND PAULOWNIA

Poplar is a lightweight wood material, while paulownia is a stronger more and more responsive wood. Combined it’s a lightweight, responsive and fun core.

SCRATCH FREE TOPSHEET

Our scratch free top sheet is developed to last the abuse your skis go through. Its pattern is design to not collect snow while touring, reducing the weight on each foot.

OKULEN BASE - TOURING

The ski has a durable Okulen 7150 base. On our touring skis the base is stoned for all conditions, but will excel on wet snow, typically found during spring skiing.

SANDWICH CONSTRUCTION

A sandwich construction delivers uncompromised power transmission and exceptional torsional stiffness in a durable long lasting package.

GRAPHICS BY RIKKE WESTVIG

The graphics on Hurrungane 101 is inspired by that feeling you have when closing the door behind you and setting off towards the mountains. It is a walk through the mental and physical strain we skiers are willing to go through to reach our summits, and that feeling of lightness and peace found when you finally reach the top. The Hurrungane mountain range is a place in Sogn where skiers can choose to chase that feeling of lightness and serenity.

STEIN FALSEN MØLLER - Mountainguide

As a mountain guide I need a ski that can perform well on any type of snow, and with HURRUNGANE 101 I can bring one pair of skis for a week of guiding. HURRUNGANE 101 makes me sleep well at night!

We are really proud to produce HURRUNGANE 101 at Åre Skidfabrik in Åre, Sweden. We have worked closely with the engineers in Åre to create a ski exactly after our specifications and we are really happy about the first of many skis to come out of the factory in the small mountain town.

Åre has a lot in common with Sogndal, and it's been a pleasure to work with likeminded skibuilders. Åre Skidfabrik has been producing skis since 1981, and today its the only alpine ski factory in Scandinavia.
