THE ULTIMATE SKI FOR LONG DAYS ON THE MOUNTAIN

Developed by selected mountain guides

Welcome to the next chapter in traditional Norwegian skiing. This ski is developed in collaboration with some of the most experienced mountain guides in Norway - people who spend many working days out skiing. This ski combines innovative new core technology with technical solutions to create a better working tool for the harsh Norwegian mountains. It is of course developed according to the SGN philosophy of uncompromised skiing properties.

The core composition will remain a secret, but we can reveal that it consists of a full wood core as well as carbon fiber. The requirements set by the mountain guides meant that we had to have both low weight and skiing properties at the highest level. The ski has an 89 mm width waist with a generous nose rocker and flat camber for good flow in soft snow. A stiff tail helps in maintaining control down steep couloirs, as well as on the early morning ascents on snow crust before the sun softens the snow.

This is simply the complete mountain ski. We have to admit that we are very proud of this product.

TOURING TAIL

Designed to suit all skins, with a customizable large ABS plastic tail. There is a small kick in the tail to reduce drag from you skin-clip while touring.

FLAT UNDERFOOT

A flat underfoot design delivers the best of both worlds. Stability on hard conditions, and playful characteristics in soft snow.

TOURING TIP

With a thinner and lighter wood core than our traditions skis its designed for long days touring. The shape of the tip will also help reduce drag when skinning up.

PAULOWNIA AND CARBON

A paulownia core in a carbon chassis. By reducing the amount of wood and substituting it with carbon you get a lightweight ski, obtaining the woodcore properties.

SCRATCH FREE TOPSHEET

Our scratch free top sheet is developed to last the abuse your skis go through. Its pattern is design to not collect snow while touring, reducing the weight on each foot.

P-TEX BASE - TOURING

The ski has a durable P-tex 5920 base. On our touring skis the base is stoned for all conditions, but will excel on wet snow, typically found during spring skiing.

SANDWICH CONSTRUCTION

A sandwich construction delivers uncompromised power transmission and exceptional torsional stiffness in a durable long lasting package.

One of our closest mountain ranges is called Hurrungane. On a sunny winter day the black mountains spark to life and shine in every shade of white, blue and green. Packed with unimaginable lines and amazing views it's one of the places we love to ski and hide from everyday life. One of the gateways to Hurrungane is Turtagrø Hotel, a iconic building at the very foot of the mountains.
